This hotel has accessible rooms with lowered baths or wet rooms. You can choose which you’d prefer if rooms are available. From M53 J12 take 3rd exit at the roundabout onto A56, Warrington Road. Follow along to the next roundabout and take the 3rd exit onto the A41, Greenfield Lane. Turn left chester racecourse the 3rd set of lights onto Heath Road, cross small roundabout onto Mill Lane until finding the Chester Central North Premier Inn on the right hand side. Free on-site parking is available at this hotel. A super-comfy Hypnos bed, a power shower and free Wi-Fi, our double rooms have everything you’ll need for a great night’s sleep. Most of our twin rooms have a comfy double or kingsize Hypnos bed with a single sofa bed, some have two single or double Hypnos beds.

Our spacious family rooms include a double or kingsize Hypnos bed, plus a sofa bed and pull-out bed. We also provide travel cots at no extra cost. I use premier inn quite often and found this hotel to be totally lacking. For a so called premier room is was nothing premier about it. Its your bog standard room nothing that you wouldn’t get in a normal premier in hotel.

So do not think your paying for extra service you may as well go the the central ones and it be cheaper. Visited Chester for a weekend with my daughter. Spent three nights in this very clean, friendly and accommodating Premier Inn. Cheerful Reception staff, free parking on site and Mill at Upton right next door. No breakfast available but breakfast boxes available or Morrisons nearby and a lovely bakers, Chatwins where you can get hot food or rolls for lunch. There is also a Bargain Booze if you want to have a drink in your room.

However you get your kicks, the Premier Inn Hotel Chester Central North is the perfect place to stay. We’re in a lovely quiet location, close to the historic city walls, but with great transport links to the big cities and the big countryside of Snowdonia. See the monkeys in Europe’s largest orang-utan enclosure at Chester Zoo. Folkestone Racecourse was a thoroughbred horse racing venue in southeast England, until it closed in 2012. It is located in Westenhanger, by junction 11 of the M20 motorway and about two miles west of Folkestone. The history of the Westenhanger estate dates back to 1035 when it was owned by King Canute.

The 14th century Westenhanger Castle can still be seen next to the main grandstand. The race course was established in 1898, and was a right-handed undulating oval of nearly 1 mile 3 furlongs, with a straight 6 furlongs which joined the round course for a home straight of 3 furlongs. The inner steeplechase course of 1 mile 2 furlongs, had 7 fences. In July 2012, Arena Leisure and Northern Racing, the lessees of the racecourse announced the closure of the racecourse as a temporary measure. Outdated facilities and the delay of a project to build houses on part of the site were given as the reasons for the closure. It was announced that a final decision would be made in 2013.

Arena Leisure stated in 2012 that the closure was temporary. However, in 2016 it was revealed that plans drawn up by Folkestone and Hythe Council include the racecourse area for building houses in a development known as Otterpool Garden Town. The racecourse was first used by aviation when a flying meeting was held in September 1910. Three aircraft were present, watched by a large crowd. Between 1940 and 1941 the racecourse was used as a decoy airfield with dummy aircraft placed to look like an active airfield. Newbury Racecourse is a racecourse and events venue in the civil parish of Greenham, adjoining the town of Newbury in Berkshire, England. It has courses for flat races and over jumps. 27 September 1905 at its current location, in the Greenham area on the south-east side of Newbury, West Berkshire. The first recorded racing at Newbury took place in 1805 with «Newbury Races», an annual two-day race meeting at Enborne Heath. The meeting lasted until 1811 when it transferred to Woodhay Heath until 1815.

Newbury Racecourse didn’t come into existence for another 90 years when Kingsclere trainer, John Porter proposed a new racecourse at Newbury. The Jockey Club had laid down strict qualifications for new racecourses and after Porter’s plans were rejected several times, a chance meeting with King Edward VII brought about a further application which with the King’s support was approved by the Jockey Club. On 26 and 27 September 1905 the first ever racemeeting took place at Newbury Racecourse with Copper King ridden by Charlie Trigg and trained by Charles Marnes winning the opening race, the Whatcombe Handicap. It was fitting that John Porter trained Zelis to win the Regulation Plate on 27 September, providing the only winner at Newbury for course’s founder as he retired from training at the end of the 1905 season. A members badge which also covered the two days in 1905 was priced at 7 guineas. During the First World War Newbury Racecourse was used as a prisoner-of-war camp for German prisoners. In January 2021 a COVID-19 vaccination centre was established at Newbury Racecourse.

On 14 August 2010, Irish vocal pop band Westlife held a concert for Where We Are Tour supporting their album Where We Are. The concert was sold-out and contributed to a record 30,000 attendance for the following day of racing. Each year the racecourse hosts two music nights, with acts in recent years including: Jess Glynne, Olly Murs, Craig David, Rudimental and Sir Tom Jones. The racecourse has a dedicated railway station, which sees heavy traffic and additional trains on race days. It also acts as a venue for conferences, meetings, weddings and Hen and Stag parties. On 12 February 2011, two horses, Marching Song and Fenix Two, collapsed and died in the Paddock while parading for the first race of the day. Two others also appeared to have been affected, Kid Cassidy and The Merry Giant.

The novice hurdle race went ahead, starting about 20 min late, but the rest of the day’s racing was abandoned. On 17 February, the preliminary results of the investigation into the incident were released. Professor Tim Morris, Director of Equine Science and Welfare for the British Horseracing Authority, reported that they had been informed that there had been leakage from an electrical cable running under the parade ring. I can also confirm that, contrary to speculation, no evidence of any burn marks around the mouth was found on post mortem examination, neither were such marks found by the veterinary surgeons on the horses at the start.
